In-Line UVC Water Sterilizer — ZXSJ-UVC-1GPM

A stainless-steel UVC-LED sterilizer that installs in-line on 1/4" tubing. It is a post-treatment unit: it treats water that has already been purified by an RO system or under-sink purifier, and it starts automatically when water flows. 1 GPM (4 LPM), 100–240 V adapter, no tank or plumbing change.

CE conformity certificate EPA Establishment No. 105777-CHN-1 1 GPM · 1/4" quick-connect

Product definition

What is the ZXSJ-UVC-1GPM — and what is it not?

It is an in-line UV post-treatment device for point-of-use drinking water. Water enters one fitting, passes the UVC-LED emitter, and leaves the other fitting. It contains no filter media and does not purify water on its own — the purifier upstream does that work, and this unit keeps the water that has already been treated from being recontaminated downstream.

That distinction matters commercially as much as technically. Buyers who expect a standalone purifier will be disappointed by a device with no filter inside it; buyers who want to hold the microbiological quality of treated water steady all the way to the tap are the ones this product is built for.

Scope of the product — stated plainly
This unit isThis unit is not
An in-line UVC sterilizer for water that has already been purified A standalone water purifier — it has no filter element and removes no sediment, chlorine or dissolved solids
A point-of-use device for a single outlet: under-sink RO, countertop purifier, drinking-water tap A whole-house or point-of-entry treatment system — the rated flow does not support building-wide supply
A complement to reverse osmosis, installed after the storage tank and before the faucet A replacement for reverse osmosis — it does not desalinate, soften or remove PFAS
Flow-actuated: it runs while water flows and stops when the tap closes A storage or recirculation device — it holds no water and nothing recirculates through it
Where the unit belongs in the chain

Pre-filter → purifier → storage tank → this unit → faucet. Everything upstream protects the unit (clear, low-hardness water keeps the quartz sleeve clean); everything downstream of it is short by design. If the feed water is unfiltered, the correct fix is upstream treatment, not a different sterilizer.

A SKWEIT® in-line UVC unit installed under a kitchen sink, mounted on the treated-water line after a bank of filter cartridges and feeding the faucet above, with its power adapter plugged into an outlet inside the cabinet
In practice The unit is clamped onto the treated-water line after the filter bank and before the faucet. Only three connections are added: the white tubing in and out, and the adapter lead to an outlet inside the cabinet. This is a generic installation; the model fitted depends on the flow rate of the system.
How it works

Treatment on demand — with no switch to remember

A flow sensor on the inlet side detects movement the moment a tap opens. The UVC-LED switches on, the water passes the emitter chamber, and when the flow stops the lamp returns to standby. There is no timer, no schedule and no manual start: the unit is either seeing flow and treating it, or it is idle.

Flow path through the unit
StageWhat happens
Inlet (marked on the housing) Water that has already been filtered enters here. A flow sensor on this side detects movement the moment a tap opens.
Treatment chamber Water passes the UVC-LED emitter inside the stainless-steel housing. Treatment happens in a single pass at the rated flow rate.
Outlet Treated water leaves towards the faucet. Inlet and outlet are not interchangeable — see the note below.

What "flow-actuated" means in practice

  1. Tap closed. No flow, lamp off. The blue ring indicates the unit has power and is in standby.
  2. Tap opened. The flow sensor triggers, the UVC-LED runs, and the ring turns green.
  3. Tap closed again. Flow stops, the lamp switches off, the ring returns to blue.
Inlet and outlet are not interchangeable

The flow sensor sits on the inlet side. If the tubing is reversed, nothing breaks — but the sensor never sees flow, so the lamp never starts and the ring stays blue. Check the inlet marking on the housing before pushing the tube home.

Operating status

What the three indicator colours mean

The ring light on the housing is the only routine check the unit asks for. Three states, no display, no app:

Blue illuminated ring on the end of the SKWEIT® UVC sterilizer, indicating the unit is powered and in standby
Blue Powered, standby. The unit has mains power but no water is flowing, so the lamp is off.
Green illuminated ring on the SKWEIT® UVC sterilizer, indicating the flow sensor has triggered and the lamp is running
Green Sterilising. The flow sensor has detected water and the UVC-LED is running.
Red illuminated ring on the SKWEIT® UVC sterilizer, indicating a fault condition
Red Fault. The unit has detected a fault condition. Cut the water supply and contact your supplier before continuing to draw water.
A green ring is not a performance measurement

Green means the lamp is running — it is not an indication that the delivered UV dose has been reached. Dose depends on water clarity, flow rate and the condition of the quartz sleeve. Where a dosing claim has to be evidenced, it must be measured, not read off the indicator.

The 15,000-hour figure, stated honestly

15,000 hours is the design rating for the UVC-LED assembly, taken from the manufacturer's product specification. It is not a tested lifetime figure and we do not present it as one. Real service life depends on drive current, thermal conditions and water quality. Where regulated markets require an evidenced lifetime claim, the LED assembly should be qualified by your own programme before that claim is made in your market.

The certificates and the EPA filing carry a trade name that differs from the brand under which this model is sold. The certificate holder is Suzhou Purple Core Instant Purification Technology Co.,Ltd.; the manufacturer is the same company and the model number is identical, so the coverage applies to the model listed above. Original certificate copies are available to buyers on request.

Series

1 GPM or 3 GPM — which one fits the system?

Choose on flow rate and on the tubing already installed. A single drinking-water tap rarely exceeds 1 GPM, which is what the 1 GPM model is rated for. The 3 GPM model exists for systems that feed more than one outlet or a higher-demand appliance, and it takes 3/8" tubing rather than 1/4".

Send the host system details — purifier type, tank size, number of outlets and feed water — and the flow requirement can be narrowed down before sampling. Oversizing does not improve treatment; it only changes the fittings you need to stock.

  • Adapter is region-agnostic. The 100–240 V input means one SKU covers US, EU and UK markets; only the mains plug tail differs.
  • Tube and clips are consumables. Stock them as spares if you are supporting installers, since a retrofit joint is where leaks appear first.
  • Carton and pallet data — net weight, unit dimensions, carton dimensions and units per carton — are issued on request against a live quotation.
  • Branding. The unit ships with the manufacturer's brand and model marking. OEM programmes can be discussed, subject to the certification constraints below.
Certification and branding are linked

The CE certificate and the EPA filing name the manufacturer and the model number. Any change to the model designation, the housing marking or the certificate holder's identity can move a unit outside the scope of its existing coverage. Bring rebranding requirements into the conversation early — before artwork is committed.

Scope note. Statements on this page describe the specified operating envelope of the product as supplied. UVC treatment effectiveness depends on water clarity, flow rate, lamp output and the condition of the quartz sleeve; performance is specified for pre-filtered water at the rated flow rate under standard laboratory conditions. Net weight, unit dimensions and carton data are issued per quotation and are not stated here. Installations must comply with national and local plumbing and electrical regulations. Buyers are responsible for verifying that the product and its documentation meet the requirements of their own market before resale.
